Hookah smoking is  also a spiritual activity. And how you approach your time smoking shisha, and the enviroment you decide to smoke Hookah in may affect how you approach your life. How you feel inside.

The famous quote for Hookah smokers says that cigaret smokers are fast paced and tense while hookah smokers are calmer. But most hookah smokers today are hookah bar smokers. They don’t make their own hookah. how is that different than cigaret smoking?

It was even more recent that hookah bars opened.

And even more recent that Hookah bars took on the loud music, over TV’s playing, with the expensive prices fast food feeling we enjoy today.

Hookah bars in tradition were friends smoking at the days end. Or time alone to think.

hookah on roof.

In NY in the early 1900’s a hookah bar was a place where Immigrants would reconnect with others just arriving and those in the same upward struggle.  But mostly a Hookah was something you brought out to appreciate a conversation in your house or in your neighborhood.

To truly appreciate hookah we must look at our surroundings and those we are smoking with to decide its spiritual effects on us. Hookah bars are not the tradition. And with the noise, and with us now not even making our own hookahs; smoking Hookah tobacco has become no better than fast food for some.

And if you look at many of the people you are smoking with regularly you may notice that they are looking tired, tense, and getting more broke and are not connected to their Hookah because they only smoke in these hookah bars.

Smoking hookah is a time to let the sounds of the air pulling up the Shisha and bringing reflections of the day to rise up. Let the hookah and silence help inspire the mind to go deeper. Relax. Let the pressures fade away. Maybe even find some new life and energy by slowing down and believe things will get better if you are going through those rough patches. And most importantly make a hookah and appreciate what you made.

Ed Hardy and hookahs.

All Ed Hardy Hookah has done is add to the selection of hookah’s. We work in hookah because we love the smokey culture.

We created Ed Hardy hookah because Ed hardy is a person who represents everything America at its best is about. He is the same story every immigrant dreams of.

A hard worker who came out of the counter-culture through talent, hard work and using his intelligence to back up his individuality and rebelliousness with the bravery to follow his passions. Ed Hardy used his god- given talents to struggle a living out of the toughness of life.  Ed Hardy made it to college, gave it up to follow his passions and then made it in tattoos when tattoos were not accepted.

Ed Hardy was bloody good at tattoos. And he worked his way out of the struggle, sold his art and now finally does his own work, finally can devote his life to what he loves; His own paintings.

I read on a  hookah forum that “just based on the principal of what Ed Hardy stands for in the shisha world upsets me.” This same person turned down our tobacco for no reason. The price was good. And had he smoked the Ed Hardy Tobacco it would have been great. It was just this  invisible Ed Hardy meaning he claims to represent.

What does Ed Hardy Hookah stand for? allow me again  to point you to the life of Ed Hardy for what Ed hardy Hookah stands for. Stand for what you want. We Already know who Ed Hardy Hookah is.

Ed Hardy Hookah  stands for Individuality.

Ed Hardy Hookah stand for small companies working hard against the status que to create something new and better.

True Hookah King looks over first Ed Hardy Hookahs

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 14, 2010 by Abraham Appel

True hookah King has started to win a lot of respect from Ed Hardy Hookah for how he seems to want to tell his actual opinion in his hookah reviews; something that has caught him some heat from a lot of hookah bars and Hookah companies.

Being a hookah reviewer is tough. The Hookah business is filled with so many fake opinions and political back scratchings that I don’t know how someone stays honest these days. Now I’m sure Ed Hardy Hookah will not always make the True Hookah King happy. We would like it if when we did make the True hookah king happy, we knew it was because we had made a great shisha, or another great hookah. The last thing we want is to be thought of as a company that gets dishonest hookah reviews.

We are putting Hookah Kings review up, not because we’ve talked to him and worked out a deal. But because we like how he honestly speaks his mind. This time he seems to like how our hookahs look. Ed hardy hookah wants to support the honest hookah culture.

We also want to encourage the True Hookah King to stay honest. Don’t make deals with Hookah companies and don’t let Hookah companies expect anything from you. Just speak your review honestly. maybe the real market is in being completely honest in Hookah while so many are being fake.

And we also put up the review cause of what sounds like porn in the back.

South Africa is another place in the world where Hookah smoking is popular. In South Africa, though, the Hookah smoke can be refered to instead as the Okka Pipe.

According to Wikipedia.com the Oka smoking is most popular with the South asian (Indian) residents of South Africa the Cape mallay populations.  here is a link to the Places in South Africa to eat at and smoke at if you go http://www.ruba.com/guide/Restaurants_in_South_Delhi_South_East_Delhi_New_Delhi_-RubaExpert

But the European-African population of South Africa are taking up the Okka (hookah)smoking with more popularity. Like in the United States with its Hookah smoking, South Africa Okkah smoking has seen more Okkah or Hookah smoke bars popping up around the nation.

Okka smoken in South Africa is done mostly in public like the beaches and Parks. But many believe that the okka smoke bars have a real market in South Africa as it grows in popularity.

Many social historians look at the South African Dagga Pipe and believe that hookah smoking, like humanity originated in Africa.

In South Africa, the terminology of the various hookah components also differ from other countries. The clay “head/bowl” is known as a “clay pot”. The hoses are called “pipes” and the air release valve is known, strangely, as a “clutch”.

Some scientists point to the dagga pipe as an African origin of hookah

getting away from bars and smoke your own hookah

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 13, 2010 by Abraham Appel

Relax. Thats the point of smoking a hookah. Smoking hookah is to appreciate the calmness of the moment as you drag in the fruit flavored tobacco.  Even if your in a party and there is dancing and laughter, the Hookah smoke relaxes you as you breath it in; gives you time to reflect.

If you are a Hookah smoker at the hookah lounges, set aside a night to get away from the hookah bars and find a place to smoke on your porch, garage or beach.

Go to your hookah bar the night before and order some Ed Hardy Hookah from them, so that the hookah bar still gets your business, or order online from us. And then the next night go home, watch tv and smoke an argileh (Hookah).

respect the oldschool

In the traditional way of thinking, Hookah bars do not teach the smoker to make their own hookahs. And this ruins the patience and care of creating your own hookah and relaxing to your own Hookah and shisha creation.

Smoking Hookah should change with the times, but let yourself understand the history by getting away from the Hookah bar and smoking as they did back in the day. Invite a few friends over, make your own Ed Hardy Hookah and enjoy sometime relaxing at home with your tobacco.

All to often we smoke so much at the Hookah bars that the Hookah bars become taxing on our lives. Hookah smoking is supposed to be the relaxing part of the day, not the part of the day that taxes our day.
